This article describes how to migrate Evoko Home to Humly Control Panel.
During the migration process all data and settings stored in the database of Evoko Home will be migrated to Humly Control Panel. All connected Liso room booking displays connected to Evoko Home will automatically be connected to Humly Control Panel, after the migration process has been finished.
Some features that can be found in Humly Control Panel will not be supported on the Liso because of hardware and software limitations. However, by connecting your Lisos to Humly Control Panel you will not only keep all functionality from Evoko Home, but you will also gain new functionalities.
Information
Migrating from Evoko Home to Humly Control Panel is only supported for on premise installations running in a Windows server environment. Preferable on Windows Server 2019 or later. Linux is not supported.
Before migrating we strongly recommend creating a backup or a snapshot of your physical or virtual machine, which could be used for reverting back in case there would be any problems during or after the migration.
Copy server certificate and key
Before starting the migration we strongly recommend that you make a copy of the signed server certificate and key, since they will be replaced by a self-signed certificate and key during the migration process. After the migration is done you should replace the self-signed with the signed certificate and key that you made a copy of.
-
Go to the EVOKO-folder in Windows Explorer and navigate to EvokoHome\liso_files\certificates\
-
Make a copy of the server.crt and server.key
-
Paste the server.crt and server.key somewhere safe where you can easily access them after the migration, i.e. the Desktop-folder
This screenshot shows the default path of the EVOKO-folder under Program Files, but the path can also be something else since it is customizable during installation of Evoko Home.
Migration
-
Visit https://humly.online and download the latest Humly Control Panel for Windows
-

This screenshot shows HcpInstaller_v1.7.2.7, but it could be any newer version. We recommend to always migrate to the latest version of Humly Control Panel. - Click Install to begin the migration process from Evoko Home to Humly Control Panel
- Click Next
- Change the installation destination folder for Humly Control Panel, or use the default destination folder (recommended). Click Next to confirm installation folder

- Click Install to begin installation of Humly Control Panel
- The installer will detect that there are an installation of Evoko Home installed on the computer. Click Yes to import settings the settings from Evoko Home to Humly Control Panel
- Migration process is finished. Click Finish to exit the Setup Wizard
After the migration you will notice that the Liso devices have lost connection to Humly Control Panel. Also, you will only be able to reach Humly Control Panel using localhost:3002 on the computer or virtual machine where you migrated and installed Humly Control Panel.
Both of these can be easily fixed by replacing the self-signed certificate and key with the signed certificate and key that you made a copy of before beginning the migration (Copy server certificate and key).
Replace self-signed certificate and key
- On the computer or virtual machine where you did the migration and installed Humly Control Panel, open services.msc
- Find HCP Service and click Stop to stop the service
- Go to the Humly-folder in Windows Explorer and navigate to ControlPanel\application_data\certificates\
This screenshot shows the default installation path of the Humly-folder under Program Files, but the path can also be something else since it is customizable during installation of Humly Control Panel. -
Make a cut & paste of the self-signed server.crt and server.key file for backup, and paste them somewhere safe where you can easily retrieve them if needed, i.e. the Documents-folder. Don’t paste them in the same folder where you pasted the signed certificate and key prior to the migration!
-
Now, paste the signed server certificate and key, that you did a copy of before the migration, into the empty certificates-folder under ControlPanel\application_data\certificates\
This screenshot shows the default installation path of the Humly-folder under Program Files, but the path can also be something else since it is customizable during installation of Humly Control Panel. - Return to services.msc and Start the HCP Service again
-
It can take up to 10 minutes before every Liso is connected again and you can access Humly Control Panel from outside the computer or virtual machine on which it was installed
