Migrate Humly Control Panel to Graph

This article will cover the process of migrating Humly Control Panel from EWS to Graph.

Please ensure you have prepared the booking system for Microsoft Graph before starting the migration process.
The Office 365/MS Graph booking system preparation instructions are here.

To migrate your Humly Control Panel from the old EWS libraries to MS Graph APIs, follow the instructions below:

It is highly recommended to create an HCP backup before you start this process, you can use the HCP backup feature in the global settings

1.  Open Humly Control Panel Setting (by clicking on the cog wheel) and click on Migrate

2.  Fill in the necessary information about your newly created Graph application and click Migrate

3.  The migration process will detect if the application does have permission on some resources and will show a message like the one below. You can choose to continue and fix the permission later for the permission of the missing resource (a list of those resources will be added to Humly Control Panel Logs)

After adding new members to your configured M365 group, the application should retain its permissions over new members added to the M365 group. However, you might experience some delays due to caching and propagation times within Azure and Microsoft 365 services. It's advisable to allow some time (ranging from a few minutes to a few hours) for these changes to be fully effective.

4.  Click on yes once you are ready, and you should see the migration successful message

Suppose you decide that your Graph configuration is not ready or for any other reason, you can always roll back to EWS. To rollback, click on the rollback button in global settings, and HCP will revert to your last used application before the migration.
